\t\t\t\t\tThe excellent Tony Marinaro has just reported some sad news regarding the young Montreal Canadiens forward, Ivan Demidov<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ivan Demidov can’t really return home<\/p>\n If he goes back home, Demidov would immediately have to complete his mandatory military service.<\/p>\n “Tony Marinaro on 98.5 FM:<\/p>\n Ivan Demidov would be subject to mandatory military service shall he return to Russia”<\/p>\n It must be so difficult for him.. It’s so sad to know that he can’t even go back to see his family!<\/p>\n He’s only 19 years old, we can’t forget that.<\/p>\n According to Tony Marinaro on 98.5 FM, Ivan Demidov would be subjected to mandatory military service if he returned to Russia.”<\/p>\n Should we conclude that young Demidov will never return home again?<\/p>\n Will he eventually give in, go back home to see his family, and complete his military service?<\/p>\n This is undoubtedly a situation to keep an eye on for young Demidov.<\/p>\n Ivan Demidov, 19 years old, is a 6-foot-1, 192-pound forward drafted 5th overall in 2024 by the Montreal Canadiens.<\/p>\n He recorded 49 points in 65 games last season in the KHL as well as 2 points in 2 NHL games (plus 2 points in 5 playoff games).<\/p>\n He is preparing to begin his first full season in the NHL.<\/p>\n Previously on HabsFanatics<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\tHABSFANATICS.COM
