{"id":201980,"date":"2025-09-20T20:45:15","date_gmt":"2025-09-20T20:45:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/201980\/"},"modified":"2025-09-20T20:45:15","modified_gmt":"2025-09-20T20:45:15","slug":"oilers-unveil-new-alternate-jersey-for-2025-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/201980\/","title":{"rendered":"Oilers unveil new alternate jersey for 2025-26"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">The <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/edmonton-oilers\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Edmonton Oilers <\/a>will be rocking New Jerseys in 2025-26.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">At a Fan Day event at Rogers Place in Edmonton on Saturday, the Oilers unveiled a <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/oilers\/news\/release-oilers-unveil-new-alternate-jersey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" hreflang=\"en\">new alternate jersey<\/a>, featuring a light tan-colored base with a blue collar, with blue and red stripes on both the shoulders, sleeves and bottom of the sweater.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">According to a team press release, the Oilers will wear the sweater seven times this season, debuting the new look Oct. 28 at home against the Utah Mammoth. They will also wear the jersey on the road Jan. 12 and 13 against the <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/chicago-blackhawks\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chicago Blackhawks<\/a> and <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/nashville-predators\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nashville Predators<\/a>, respectively. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">The Oilers\u2019 most recent alternate sweaters include the navy blue sweater with orange trim, introduced for the 2019-20 season and retired after the 2023-24 campaign. <\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1758401115_242_image\" width=\"727\" height=\"404\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"color:transparent\"\/>Oct 27, 2021; Edmonton, Alberta, CAN; Philadelphia Flyers defensemen Travis Sanheim (6) trips up Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid (97) during the third period at Rogers Place. They eliminated the <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/los-angeles-kings\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles Kings<\/a>, the <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/vegas-golden-knights\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> and <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/dallas-stars\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas Stars<\/a> in the playoffs, earning a spot in the Stanley Cup Final against the <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/florida-panthers\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Florida Panthers<\/a> for the second consecutive year. However, just like in 2024, they were defeated by the Panthers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">Forward Leon Draisaitl lead the team in goals and points with 52 and 106, while captain Connor McDavid led the way with 74 assists. Defenseman Evan Bouchard lead the blue line in all offensive categories, scoring 14 goals and recording 53 assists for 67 points. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">In the playoffs, both Draisaitl and McDavid lead the playoffs with 33 points \u2013\u00a010 more than the next highest total. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Edmonton Oilers will be rocking New Jerseys in 2025-26.
