The Dallas Stars<\/a> haven\u2019t led for a long time against the Colorado Avalanche, but they\u2019ve found the back of the net when it counts in their opening round playoff series<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Tyler Seguin followed up Colin Blackwell on Wednesday with a second overtime winner in the past two games<\/a> as Dallas turned a 1-0 series deficit into a 2-1 lead heading into Game 4 on Saturday night. <\/p>\n

Believe it or not, the Stars have only held a lead for 62 total seconds over the first three games. <\/p>\n

Blackwell ended an eight-game losing streak<\/a> that dated back to the regular season in Game 2 when he beat Colorado goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood with an impressive individual effort<\/a> nearly 18 minutes into overtime. <\/p>\n

Seguin, meanwhile, turned back the clock as he returns from hip surgery to send the crowd in Denver home unhappy as he spoiled the end of Game 3<\/a> on Blackwood\u2019s short side off assists from Mason Marchment and Mikko Rantanen.<\/p>\n

In Games 2 and 3, the\u00a0Stars won consecutive playoff games in overtime for the first time in franchise history. Dallas also registered back-to-back third-period postseason comeback wins for the fourth time in\u00a0Stars\/North\u00a0Stars\u00a0history.<\/p>\n

Blackwell\u2019s OT strike was the first game-winning goal of his playoff career (nine games).<\/p>\n

Additionally, Seguin \u2014 at 13 years and one day \u2014 now holds the third-longest span between playoff overtime goals in NHL history, behind Ray Whitney (16 years, 344 days) and Teemu Selanne (14 years, 23 days).<\/p>\n
