The Chicago Blackhawks close out preseason play on Saturday night against the St. Louis Blues at the United Center. It\u2019s the second exhibition matchup in seven days between these two teams, with the Blackhawks storming back from a 2-0 deficit to win the first meeting 4-2 in St. Louis.<\/p>\n
While the Blackhawks iced most of their projected NHL roster in their last three preseason contests, that will not be the case in the finale vs. the Blues. A group of mostly AHL players fills out the lineup, as the Blackhawks recalled several skaters from Rockford for the back end of their weekend back-to-back.<\/p>\n

Crevier is likely locked into the seventh-defenseman role to begin the regular season, but Moore, Greene, Reichel, and Del Mastro are still fighting for NHL roster spots.<\/p>\n Arvid Soderblom will make his second start of the preseason in net. Soderblom last appeared in the Blackhawks\u2019 preseason opener, where he stopped 40 of 43 shots faced against the Detroit Red Wings.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s everything to note before the puck drops tonight in Chicago at 6 p.m. CT.<\/p>\n Blackhawks Preseason Notes<\/p>\n The Blackhawks opened the preseason with a lackluster 3-2 loss<\/a> to the Red Wings on Tuesday, September 23rd, at Little Caesars Arena. Connor Bedard and Wyatt Kaiser were the goal scorers for Chicago.<\/p>\n After falling behind 2-0, the Blackhawks scored four unanswered goals in the third period to earn their first preseason win<\/a> over the Blues on Saturday, September 27th.
