It’s time for my wacky predictions for the upcoming season! \u00a0Real pics tomorrow.. but this is always been one of my favorite blogs to write each year, and of course to remind you at the end of the year of the things that I got right\u2026. And just kinda look over the things I got wrong\u2026. Last year, I think my best two predictions were the Washington Capitals to win the metro and the Columbus Bluejackets to battle for a playoff spot. \u00a0So lets get to it..<\/p>\n

\u00a0The San Jose Sharks will make the playoffs. \u00a0I know this one probably is one of the craziest, but this is how much I believe in Macklin Celebrini, as well as the core group of young players they built around him right now. I also love their goaltending. They stole Askarov from Nashville. \u00a0Will Smith, the other Eklund, Michael Misa apparently has made this team\u2026.I think the Sharks are going to arrive way sooner than anyone is thinking\u2026Crosby will be the story at the deadline. \u00a0I don’t believe her a second that if the penguins are struggling, after the Olympics before the trade deadline, there won’t be talk about Crosby moving to either Montreal or Colorado\u2026. I know Kyle Dubas has already come out and said nothing will happen during the season however, I think that’s what has to be said\u2026The Detroit Red Wings will battle for a playoff spot and be in one by American Thanksgiving\u2026 if they don’t make the playoffs, this will be Steve Yzerman\u2019s \u00a0final year.Carter Hart will start for the Vegas Golden Knights\u00a0when the playoffs beginAndrew Magiopane will \u00a0put in 40 goals for the Oilers. \u00a0He will be viewed as the best free agent signing of the summer..The NY Rangers will be back in a big way and win the Metro\u2026They made some great signings as well.The LA Kings will finish above the Ducks, but below the Sharks in the standings..Team USA will be dominant in the Olympics not losing a single game\u00a0with defensive additions Quinn Hughes and Lane Hutson.Macklin Celebrini will make Team Canada. and be a factor playing with CrosbyThe Flyers will have the second best off-season signing as Christian Dvorak\u00a0will put up 60 points playing with Michkov.Patrick Roy WILL survive the season and the Isles will return to a bubble team in the playoffsBoth Sam Montembeault AND Anthony Stolarz will be in the Vezina conversation, with Sam being among the Finalists.Quinn Hughes will be dealt to o NJ in a midseason blockbuster\u00a0that brings a major package which includes Jesper Bratt and 2 firsts\u2026The Panthers won\u2019t miss a beat as Anton Lundell emerges as a true star in the NHL filling in for Barkov. \u00a0 Lundell has it in him for sure..The Pittsburgh Penguins will win the draft lottery and welcome Gavin McKenna to their list of Superstars-in-a-row\u2026<\/p>\n
