\t\t\t\t\tWe learned this morning that Jonathan Drouin<\/a>‘s situation took an official turn as he was set to appear before the NHL Department of Player Safety.<\/p>\n Jonathan Drouin receives a one-game suspension for his dangerous play<\/p>\n The incident occurred in the final minutes of the game, when Drouin delivered a stick to the face of the Penguins player.<\/p>\n The dirty act immediately caught the attention of the officials and the NHL office.<\/p>\n Even though Drouin had started his season well, scoring a goal in his first game under Patrick Roy, this suspension definitely puts a stick in his spokes.<\/p>\n Despite the controversy, the Islanders played a solid game in their loss to Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n Young Matthew Schaefer<\/a> impressed in his first NHL game.
