\t\t\t\t\tPer a report from NHL analyst Frank Seravalli, the Washington Capitals are considering a trade of former 1st round pick Hendrix Lapierre<\/a>.The Washington Capitals<\/a> took forward Hendrix Lapierre with the 22nd pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, and soon signed him to a 3 year entry level contract.<\/p>\n

But are they already thinking of parting ways with him?<\/p>\n

Per a report from NHL analyst Frank Seravalli, Lapierre’s being scratched to begin the new season could be an indication that a trade is in the works.<\/p>\n

He has 31 points (9G, 22A) in 86 career NHL games.<\/p>\n

Hendrix Lapierre: Skilled Puck Mover<\/p>\n

His pucks skills, and the ability to wield them with the same effectiveness at speed as he does at a standstill, make him a dazzling puck-carrier. Lapierre can effortlessly weave his way through an entire team on a moment’s notice, and he did that seemingly once a game during his tear at the Hlinka.<\/p>\n

In 2023 and 2024, he helped lead the Hershey Bears, the Capitals’ AHL affiliate, to consecutive Calder Cup championships. He was also named the MVP of the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs.<\/p>\n

He had 32 points (7G, 25A) in 32 games with the Bears last year.<\/p>\n
