Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> goaltender Adin Hill<\/a> will not travel on the team\u2019s three-game east coast road trip and is considered week-to-week with a lower-body injury, according to head coach Bruce Cassidy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hill, 29, was injured in the first period of the Golden Knights\u2019 4-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes<\/a> on Monday, going down after making a save.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-4 netminder stayed on the ice for several minutes and needed support to return to the dressing room.<\/p>\n

Hill has a 1-0-2 record this season with a 2.73 goals-against average and .888 save percentage.<\/p>\n

Akira Schmid<\/a> is expected to take the lead in net in Hill\u2019s absence. Schmid was acquired by the Golden Knights, along with forward Alexander Holtz<\/a>, from the New Jersey Devils<\/a> in June in exchange for forward Paul Cotter<\/a> and a draft pick.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old netminder has a 4-0-0 record this season with a 2.57 GAA and .899 save percentage.<\/p>\n

Vegas recalled goaltender Carl Lindbom<\/a> from the AHL\u2019s Henderson Silver Knights on Wednesday in response to Hill\u2019s injury.<\/p>\n

The 22-year old has only appeared in two games in the AHL this season and had a 18-15-5 record with Henderson last year with a 2.65 GAA and .912 save percentage.<\/p>\n

The Golden Knights sit at the top of the Pacific Division early in the season with a 5-0-2 record and take on the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Additionally, defenceman Noah Hanifin<\/a> will not join the Golden Knights on their road trip as he continues to recover from an undisclosed injury.<\/p>\n

Hanifin, 28, hasn\u2019t played since the Golden Knights\u2019 season opening 6-5 shootout loss to the Los Angeles Kings<\/a>, where he skated 24:00 in the loss.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-3 defenceman is in his third season in Vegas and had 10 goals and 39 points in 80 games last season while averaging 21:33 of ice time.<\/p>\n

Forward Brett Howden<\/a> participated in practice on Wednesday and is a possibility to play on Saturday after missing the team\u2019s last four games with a lower-body injury.<\/p>\n
