It\u2019s the final week of the field hockey, boys soccer, girls soccer and girls volleyball District 1 playoffs and The Reporter\/Times Herald\/Montgomery Media area has plenty of teams still competing for championships.<\/p>\n

Field Hockey<\/p>\n

Methacton at Villa Maria Academy >> The fourth-seeded Warriors will visit the top-seeded Hurricanes in the District 1-3A semifinals Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Villa Maria, the defending district champs, are 18-2 this year. In the district playoffs, they handled Ridley, 7-0, and Garnet Valley, 8-1.<\/p>\n

Methacton, the Pioneer Athletic Conference champs, beat North Penn, 6-1, and Souderton, 3-1. Calie Fisher Ceci Rehak and Nicole Walsh scored in the win over Souderton.<\/p>\n

The winner will face the winner of No. 3 Central Bucks West and No. 7 Downingtown West in the championship Saturday at Methacton at 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Central Bucks West vs. Downingtown West >> The third-seeded Bucks host the seventh-seeded Whippets in the District 1-3A semifinals Tuesday at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

CB West got here by beating Neshaminy, 8-0, in the second round and Conestoga, 4-3 in overtime, in the quarterfinals. Aida Ierubino had three goals and an assist in the win over Conestoga.<\/p>\n

Downingtown West blanked Plymouth Whitemarsh, 5-0, in the second round and edged Avon Grove, 2-1, in the quarters.<\/p>\n

The winner will face the winner of No. 1 Villa Maria Academy and No. 4 Methacton in the championship Saturday at Methacton at 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Mount Saint Joseph Academy vs. Unionville >> The third-seeded Magic host the seventh-seeded Longhorns in the District 1-2A semifinals Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Mount cruised through the first two rounds, beating Marple Newtown, 7-0, and Oxford, 7-1.<\/p>\n

Unionville handled Lower Moreland, 8-1, in the first round before knocking off Bishop Shanahan, 2-1, in the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n

The winner will face the winner of No. 8 Harriton and No. 4 Kennett in the championship Saturday at Methacton at 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Boys Soccer<\/p>\n

Abington at Springfield Township >> The seventh-seeded Ghosts visit the sixth-seeded Spartans in the District 1-4A semifinals Wednesday at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Abington has not allowed a goal through three district playoff games, defeating CB West, CB South and Downingtown West by a combined score of 7-0.<\/p>\n

Springfield Montco defeated North Penn, 3-1, in the first round, Souderton, 1-0, in the second round and Owen J. Roberts, 3-0, in the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n

Abington and Springfield met during the regular season in September. The Ghosts won, 3-1, behind two goals from Cristian Hinkel.<\/p>\n

The winner will face the winner of No. 1 West Chester Henderson and No. 4 Haverford in the championship Saturday at Haverford at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

Girls Soccer<\/p>\n

Pennridge vs. Lower Merion >> The top-seeded Rams host the fifth-seeded Aces in the District 1-4A semifinals Tuesday night at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Pennridge is 16-3 this season, including its two district playoff wins. After a first-round bye, the Rams edged Council Rock South, 5-4 in penalties after a 1-1 score through two overtimes, and Neshaminy, 1-0.<\/p>\n

Lower Merion, last year\u2019s district runner-up, hasn\u2019t allowed a goal this postseason, defeating Great Valley, Perkiomen Valley and Spring-Ford by a combined score of 4-0.<\/p>\n

The winner will face the winner of No. 3 Downingtown West and No. 7 Central Bucks South in the championship Saturday at Haverford at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Central Bucks South vs. Downingtown West >> The seventh-seeded Titans visit the third-seeded Whippets in the District 1-4A semifinals Tuesday night at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

CB South is 15-4-1 this fall. In districts, the Titans beat Haverford, 6-3, Pennsbury, 2-1 and CB East, 1-0.<\/p>\n

Downingtown West is 16-1-3. After a first-round bye, the Whippets beat Marple Newtown, 5-0, and Conestoga, 1-0.<\/p>\n

The winner will face the winner of No. 1 Pennridge and No. 5 Lower Merion in the championship Saturday at Haverford at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Springfield Township vs. Villa Joseph Marie >> The third-seeded Spartans face the top-seeded Jems in the District 1-2A championship at Hatboro-Horsham Tuesday night at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Springfield Montco defeated Merion Mercy Academy, 3-0, in the semifinals while Villa Joe beat Pope John Paul II, 2-0.<\/p>\n

The Spartans have only allowed one goal through six games going back to Sept. 30.<\/p>\n

The winner advances to the state playoffs while the loser\u2019s season is over.<\/p>\n

Dock Mennonite Academy vs. Faith Christian Academy >> The top-seeded Pioneers face the second-seeded Lions in the District 1-1A championship game at Norristown Tuesday evening at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

These teams have met in the District 1-1A championship game every year since 2021. Faith Christian Academy won in 2021, 2-1, before Dock rattled off three straight wins \u2013 2-1 in 2022, 3-0 in 2023 and 3-1 in 2024. In the regular season this year, the teams tied, 1-1, on Oct. 6.<\/p>\n

Dock handled Calvary Christian, 7-0, in the semifinals while Faith defeated Delco Christian in penalty kicks, 4-3, after 100 scoreless minutes.<\/p>\n

The winner will advance to the state playoffs while the loser\u2019s season comes to an end.<\/p>\n

Girls Volleyball<\/p>\n

Pope John Paul II vs. West Chester Rustin >> The top-seeded Golden Panthers will face the second-seeded Golden Knights in the District 1-3A championship game Thursday at 5 p.m. at Harriton High School.<\/p>\n

Pope John Paul II is looking for its seventh straight District 1-3A title. Last year, it defeated Rustin, 3-0, in the semifinals.<\/p>\n

PJP has three losses this year, all against Spring-Ford, which is still competing for the Class-4A district title. In districts, the Golden Panthers swept Pottsgrove, 3-0, in the first round and Mount Saint Joseph Academy, 3-0, in the semifinals.<\/p>\n

Rustin has also swept its way through the bracket with 3-0 wins over Strath Haven and Merion Mercy Academy.<\/p>\n

The winner advances to the state playoffs and the loser\u2019s season comes to an end.<\/p>\n
