Who would have thought that the 76ers would get off to a 4-0 start and the Flyers would be dominant at home at the Xfinity Mobile Arena. <\/p>\n
Both teams are young and exciting to watch so far. Tyrese Maxey and rookie V.J. Edgecombe are one of the best back courts in the NBA, and the Flyers, the fourth youngest team in the NHL, have played inspired hockey under new head coach Rick Tocchet. The Flyers are 6-1 at home in the early going.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Giants last Sunday and are 6-2 as they have a bye this week. But they won more than the game last week. During the game Sunday, Giants rookie running back and fan favorite Cam Skattebo suffered a gruesome ankle injury.\u00a0 After the game, Skattebo had emergency surgery, and he issued a statement of how much love he received in Philly.\u00a0 Even “Big Dom” and Zack Baun visited him in the hospital.\u00a0 They won much more than the game!<\/p>\n
I wish I was able to be in the studio this week to talk about our Philly Sports teams. I am scheduled to have knee replacement surgery on Friday and will not be able to rehash this week’s top stories. However, I have a great team, and Nick Earnshaw will fill in for me this weekend.
