Miller.

Ideally, the Vancouver Canucks will be able to someone that can make an impact either in a second or third line role, allowing Lukas Reichel to play on the wing, where he’ll likely be more engaged in the play from an offensive standpoint and on Thursday, a trade proposal emerged that would see Patrik Allvin acquire a former first round pick from a division rival.

Trade proposal sends former first round pick to the Vancouver Canucks

In a recent article for Heavy.com, Michael DeRosa suggested a trade that would see the Vancouver Canucks acquire former first round pick Alexander Wennberg from the San Jose Sharks, with the team retaining 50 percent of his remaining salary, in exchange for Latvian centerman Teddy Blueger and a second round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.Canucks Get:
– Alexander Wennberg (50% Retained)

Sharks Get:
– Teddy Blueger
– 2026 Second-Round Pick

Wennberg, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, is in the final year of his contract which comes with a $5 million annual salary and to the surprise of no one at this point given how aggressive Patrik Allvin has been, has reportedly been asked about in talks with the Vancouver Canucks.”According to various reports, the Canucks have inquired on the availability of San Jose Sharks centre Alex Wennberg, who is in the final year of his contract and comes with a $5 million cap hit.

While a move is not yet believed to be imminent, Canucks GM Patrik Allvin is scouring the market for help at the dot and Wennberg is considered an option, though he is not the only player the Canucks are believed to have checked in on.” The Fourth Period’s article said in late October.

The 31-year-old pending UFA has put up nine points (three goals, six assists), no penalty minutes and is a minus-three in 14 games for the San Jose Sharks this season and is poised to be one of the top names available ahead of the March 6th trade deadline, however, there’s a very good chance he’s moved by the club well ahead of then, potentially as early as late December, before the NHL’s Holiday Roster Freeze goes into effect.

Previously on Canucks Daily

POLL

25 MINUTES AGO | 25 ANSWERS

Major One-for-One Trade Pitch Emerges Between the Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks

Who do you think would win this trade between the Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks?

      CANUCKSDAILY.COM
COPYRIGHT @2025 –
