{"id":323308,"date":"2025-11-26T03:01:10","date_gmt":"2025-11-26T03:01:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/323308\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T03:01:10","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T03:01:10","slug":"dallas-stars-jamie-benn-scores-400th-career-goal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/323308\/","title":{"rendered":"Dallas Stars\u2019 Jamie Benn scores 400th career goal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/jamie-benn\/8473994\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/jamie-benn\/8473994\" target=\"_blank\">Jamie Benn<\/a> is a member of the 400-goal club.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/dallas-stars\/25\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/dallas-stars\/25\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas Stars<\/a> forward scored his first goal of the season Tuesday night in the opening period against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/edmonton-oilers\/22\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/edmonton-oilers\/22\" target=\"_blank\">Edmonton Oilers<\/a> to reach the milestone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Benn\u2019s goal was the first of the game and came off a cross-crease pass from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/wyatt-johnston\/8482740\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/wyatt-johnston\/8482740\" target=\"_blank\">Wyatt Johnston<\/a> that Benn batted past Oilers goaltender <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/stuart-skinner\/8479973\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/stuart-skinner\/8479973\" target=\"_blank\">Stuart Skinner<\/a> and into the open net.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He is the second player in Stars history to reach the plateau, joining <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/mike-modano\/8449645\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/mike-modano\/8449645\" target=\"_blank\">Mike Modano<\/a>, who holds the franchise lead at 557. Benn also sits second in points behind Modano (1,359) with 958.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Benn was playing in just his fourth game of 2025-26 due to an upper-body injury that caused him to miss the team\u2019s first 19 games of the season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Benn had one assist in three games entering play Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 36-year-old has played his entire 17-year NHL career with the Stars since debuting with the team during the 2009-10 season.
