Wayne State and the Detroit Red Wings partnered to host WSU Night at the Little Caesars Arena last Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Students, alumni, and staff\u00a0 received limited discounted tickets for $15 or a special ticket package starting at $61.39, which included a game ticket and a limited-edition Red Wings\/Warriors sweatshirt. A donation was also made to WSU student scholarship opportunities.<\/p>\n

The Red Wings took the win 4-2 against the Seattle Kraken, but for many WSU students, the excitement was about being at the game.<\/p>\n
First-year WSU students, Allison Casey and Julia Maurice, both from Monroe MI, said they\u2019ve been taking advantage of going to college in a big city.<\/p>\n
\u201cI chose Wayne State because of the amazing Ilitch School of Business and their amazing networking. I\u2019m loving the city of Detroit and the culture here,\u201d Maurice said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Casey enjoys exploring the city of Detroit and takes part in different activities.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cMe and my roommate participated in the drawing activities at the Detroit Institute of Arts that they host usually on the weekends where you draw the art on display.\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Detroit Institute of Arts hosts drop in art making workshops, drawing galleries, guided tours and other activities for those interested. Detroit natives and students receive free access to the museum during regular business hours.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The night ended with the city of Detroit in an uproar post win, WSU students came and showed out making it another successful WSU and Red Wings collaboration.\u00a0<\/p>\n
