{"id":336289,"date":"2025-12-03T18:56:10","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T18:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/336289\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T18:56:10","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T18:56:10","slug":"san-jose-sharks-send-michael-misa-to-san-jose-barracuda-for-conditioning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/336289\/","title":{"rendered":"San Jose Sharks send Michael Misa to San Jose Barracuda for conditioning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The San Jose Sharks<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2025\/12\/02\/san-jose-sharks-alex-ovechkin-washington-capitals-michael-misa-jeff-skinner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> have assigned center<\/a> Michael Misa <a href=\"https:\/\/sjbarracuda.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to the Barracuda<\/a> to begin a conditioning stint in the AHL.<\/p>\n<p>Misa had been on injured reserve with a lower-body ailment and took part in Tuesday\u2019s practice at Sharks Ice. He is now officially on long-term injured reserve, the Sharks said.<\/p>\n<p>Misa, 18, was injured during the team\u2019s morning skate on Nov. 5 before a road game against the Seattle Kraken.<\/p>\n<p>Forward Jeff Skinner, still on IR, will not play on Wednesday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2025\/12\/03\/alex-ovechkin-san-jose-sharks-san-jose-washington-capitals\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">against the Washington Capitals.<\/a> The Sharks already have 23 players on their active roster and would likely need to assign someone to the Barracuda to clear a spot for Skinner when he\u2019s available.<\/p>\n<p>Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky could not say how long Misa will be with the Barracuda. Still, the loan could work as a natural bridge to Hockey Canada\u2019s training camp for the IIHF World Junior Championship, which begins later this month in Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>The Barracuda hosts the Tucson Roadrunners on Friday and Saturday at Tech CU Arena.
