{"id":356395,"date":"2025-12-15T00:02:13","date_gmt":"2025-12-15T00:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/356395\/"},"modified":"2025-12-15T00:02:13","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T00:02:13","slug":"vancouver-canucks-move-f-elias-pettersson-to-ir-activate-marco-rossi-from-ir","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/356395\/","title":{"rendered":"Vancouver Canucks move F Elias Pettersson to IR; activate Marco Rossi from IR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/vancouver-canucks\/23\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/vancouver-canucks\/23\" target=\"_blank\">Vancouver Canucks<\/a> made a pair of roster moves on Sunday, as the team placed forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/elias-pettersson\/8483678\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/elias-pettersson\/8483678\" target=\"_blank\">Elias Pettersson<\/a> on Injured Reserve and activated forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/marco-rossi\/8482079\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/marco-rossi\/8482079\" target=\"_blank\">Marco Rossi<\/a> from Injured Reserve.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that F Elias Pettersson has been placed on IR (retroactive to Dec. 5) and F Marco Rossi has been activated from IR.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Vancouver Canucks (@Canucks) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Canucks\/status\/2000214481800945773?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">December 14, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Pettersson\u2019s placement on IR was made retroactive to Dec. 5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Pettersson, 27, has eight goals and 22 points in 28 games this season. He played the entirety of the team\u2019s 4-1 loss to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/utah-mammoth\/68\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/utah-mammoth\/68\" target=\"_blank\">Utah Mammoth<\/a> on Dec. 5, but has been out of the lineup since. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">TSN\u2019s Farhan Lalji reported earlier this week that Pettersson had an MRI to examine the severity of the injury, and that the MRI did not reveal any significant issues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Rossi, 24, has four goals in 17 games this season with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/minnesota-wild\/30\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/minnesota-wild\/30\" target=\"_blank\">Minnesota Wild<\/a>.
