{"id":368049,"date":"2025-12-21T16:25:10","date_gmt":"2025-12-21T16:25:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/368049\/"},"modified":"2025-12-21T16:25:10","modified_gmt":"2025-12-21T16:25:10","slug":"tampa-bay-lightning-reassign-jakob-pelletier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/368049\/","title":{"rendered":"Tampa Bay Lightning Reassign Jakob Pelletier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Tampa Bay Lightning <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/lightning\/news\/tampa-bay-lightning-re-assign-forward-jakob-pelletier-to-ahl-syracuse-crunch-dec-21-2025\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">announced today<\/a> that forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/pelleja01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.prohockeyrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-12-21_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jakob Pelletier<\/a> has been reassigned to the team\u2019s AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.<\/p>\n<p>Tampa <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/lightning\/news\/tampa-bay-lightning-recall-forwards-jack-finley-jakob-pelletier-from-ahl-syracuse-crunch\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">recalled<\/a> Pelletier on Saturday, and he served as a healthy scratch for the club\u2019s comeback win over the Carolina Hurricanes. The 24-year-old 2019 first-round pick has been stellar for the Crunch this season. He leads the team in scoring with 31 points in just 24 games, a total that also ties Laval Rocket forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/dauphla01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.prohockeyrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-12-21_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Laurent Dauphin<\/a> for the scoring lead across the entire AHL.<\/p>\n<p>Pelletier\u2019s recall cost the Crunch their most lethal offensive player during their two-game weekend swing through Hartford and Providence. The Crunch defeated the Wolf Pack on Friday night but fell to the Bruins on Saturday, results that kept them tied with Laval for the division lead.<\/p>\n<p>While he didn\u2019t get to play during his brief stint on the Lightning\u2019s roster, the recall did come with a marginal financial benefit for Pelletier. He signed a three-year contract with the Lightning over the summer, one that carries a $775K NHL salary across all years. While his deal has a one-way structure in year two and year three of the deal, Pelletier is playing on a two-way contract structure this season.
