The team includes three goalkeepers, eight defenders, and 14 forwards, blending veterans and emerging talent for the tournament running February 6-22.

Bratt, 27, earned his spot through strong offensive production in the 2025-26 NHL season. In 40 games with the Devils, Bratt tallied 8 goals, 23 assists, and 31 points, with a -9 plus-minus and 8 penalty minutes. His 0.775 points per game rank him among top Swedish NHL forwards, showcasing playmaking and speed. Bratt’s 93 shots on goal and 3 power-play goals highlight his role on special teams. Projections placed him on lines with players like Mika Zibanejad and Adrian Kempe, leveraging his scoring ability for Sweden’s attack.

Markström, 35, was selected for his experience despite an uneven 2025-26 season. In 20 games for the Devils, Markström posted a 9-9-1 record, 3.32 goals-against average, and .884 save percentage, facing 525 shots and making 464 saves with no shutouts. His inclusion stems from prior international success, including as Sweden’s World Cup goalie in spring 2025, and uncertainties with alternatives like Linus Ullmark (88.1% save percentage, on personal leave) and others. Markström’s career stats, including 250 wins and 24 shutouts over 554 games, provide stability. He is expected to compete with Filip Gustavsson (91.2% save percentage) and Jesper Wallstedt (93.1%) for starts.

Both Bratt and Markstrom represented Team Sweden at the 4 Nations Face-Off. However, the latter was injured, and could not participate, and was replaced by Philadelphia Flyers goaltender, Sam Ersson.

In three 4 Nations Face-Off games, Bratt netted a goal and an assist in three games.

James is the New Jersey Devils beat reporter for New Jersey Hockey Now on Sportsnaut and the PHWAs New … More about James Nichols

In addition to New Jersey Devils superstar, Jack Hughes, heading to Milan, two additional will be playing for…

[5109
3189,201,3723,5,512,3170,576,151,5185,5184,4,180
0":"post-386695","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-new-jersey-devils","8":"tag-2026-winter-olympics","9":"tag-devils","10":"tag-devils-news","11":"tag-hockey","12":"tag-jacob-markstrom","13":"tag-jesper-bratt","14":"tag-new-jersey","15":"tag-new-jersey-devils","16":"tag-newjersey","17":"tag-newjerseydevils","18":"tag-nhl","19":"tag-team-sweden
["GET
