There may still be half a season to play for the Winnipeg Jets<\/a>, but the team\u2019s performance during last week\u2019s three-game road trip has left no doubt that the jig is up.<\/p>\n I fancy myself as an eternal optimist, but watching the Jets find three different ways to lose in Detroit, Toronto and Ottawa \u2014 after the back-to-back, \u201cdeserved a better result\u201d defeats on home ice to Minnesota and Edmonton coming out of the Christmas break \u2014 the glass isn\u2019t even half empty. It\u2019s required at this point.<\/p>\n And before we even go there, I call B.S. on that old theory about \u201cyou can\u2019t replace 20 players, so it\u2019s easier to fire the coach.\u201d<\/p>\n Because in this scenario, 20 players don\u2019t need to be replaced.
