K\u2019Andre Miller scored twice and Brandon Bussi earned his 15th win of the season as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Dallas Stars, 6-3 on Tuesday night at the Lenovo Center.<\/p>\n
Bussi is now 15-2-1 in the first 18 games of his NHL career. He set another NHL record by getting the win.<\/p>\n
Andrei Svechnikov chipped in with four assists and the home team was cooking most of this night.<\/p>\n
Seven minutes and change into the affair, Miller scored his first, the first goal he scored since opening night.<\/p>\n
After Dallas tied the score, the Canes would score four consecutive goals to take control of the game.<\/p>\n
Shane Gostisbehere scored a powerplay goal with a blast from the point and then Logan Stankoven faked out Mikko Raantanen and scored to make the score 3-1 at the end of the first period.<\/p>\n
Miller scored again off a nice pass by Svechnikov and a minute and change later, Seth Jarvis picked up a loose puck and fired that in the net off a tight angle to chase Dallas goalie, Jake Oettinger.<\/p>\n
With the score 5-1, Raantanen scored 36 seconds into the third to make it 5-2.<\/p>\n
Speaking of Raantanen, the former Cane was soundly booed by Carolina fans every time he touched the puck. The crowd never let up and continued the jeering right to the end.<\/p>\n
Brind\u2019Amour commented after the game that \u201cour fans are passionate.\u201d<\/p>\n
Eight minutes after the Raantanen goal, William Carrier knocked in a rebound to bump the Carolina lead back up to four, 6-2.<\/p>\n
The visitors scored one more time during a powerplay opportunity but that would be it for either team.<\/p>\n
