{"id":400493,"date":"2026-01-11T00:00:27","date_gmt":"2026-01-11T00:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/400493\/"},"modified":"2026-01-11T00:00:27","modified_gmt":"2026-01-11T00:00:27","slug":"penguins-bryan-rust-injured-team-makes-recall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/400493\/","title":{"rendered":"Penguins&#8217; Bryan Rust Injured, Team Makes Recall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/pittsburghhockeynow.com\/tag\/pittsburgh-penguins\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> will not have top-line winger <a href=\"https:\/\/pittsburghhockeynow.com\/tag\/bryan-rust\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bryan Rust<\/a> in the lineup Saturday when they host the Calgary Flames at PPG Paints Arena. <\/p>\n<p>Coach <a href=\"https:\/\/pittsburghhockeynow.com\/tag\/dan-muse\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dan Muse<\/a> announced that Rust is out day-to-day with a lower-body injury and forward Kevin Hayes would be in the lineup. <\/p>\n<p>Muse did not announce the lines, who would take Rust\u2019s spot beside Sidney Crosby, or where Hayes would slot into the lineup. <\/p>\n<p>In response to the Rust injury, the team made what Muse termed a \u201cprecautionary\u201d recall. The team recalled scrappy winger Rafael Harvey Pinard from the Wilkes-Barre\/Scranton Penguins. <\/p>\n<p>After an initial burst in training camp. Harvey-Pinard faded and was assigned to WBS. In 32 AHL games this season, Harvey-Pinard has 13 points, including seven goals. <\/p>\n<p>Harvey-Pinard, 27, has 84 games of NHL experience, exclusively with the Montreal Canadiens, scoring 17 goals and registering 31 points.
