{"id":400579,"date":"2026-01-11T00:51:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-11T00:51:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/400579\/"},"modified":"2026-01-11T00:51:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-11T00:51:11","slug":"brady-tkachuk-did-not-hold-back-on-dirty-senators-rumors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/400579\/","title":{"rendered":"Brady Tkachuk did not hold back on dirty Senators rumors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ottawa Senators star Brady Tkachuk had heard enough.<\/p>\n<p>The Senators\u2019 captain broke his silence on the wild rumor circulating on social media following the team\u2019s late-December announcement that goalie Linus Ullmark was taking a leave of absence for personal reasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ottawa did not reveal the exact nature of why Ullmark was stepping away from the team, and the team did not have to. However, that did not stop people on the internet from spreading a wild, unfounded rumor behind Ullmark\u2019s absence.<\/p>\n<p>It even came to a point where the Senators had to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Senators\/status\/2009432233044578784\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">release a statement<\/a> addressing the \u201ccompletely fabricated and false stories that are spreading around social media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, Tkachuk <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ComingInHotSens\/status\/2010030517840949280\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">did his part to shut down the rumors<\/a> surrounding his teammate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think anybody\u2019s pretty happy about a narrative being spread like that,\u201d Tkachuk told reporters following Saturday\u2019s practice, via the \u201cComing In Hot\u201d podcast.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s OK for people to critique our on-ice performance, but when it gets into family, it\u2019s pretty f\u2013king b\u2014\u2014t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tkachuk further emphasized his point.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s embarrassing that it got to the point that it did. I can tell you for free I\u2019m not happy about it one bit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, Tkachuk and the Senators have done enough to stop the rumors from spreading and others from believing them.<\/p>\n<p>Such distractions are certainly not helping Ottawa stay focused on its on-ice goals, especially with the Senators riding a three-game losing streak heading into a huge Saturday matchup against the two-time Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ottawa Senators star Brady Tkachuk had heard enough.
