Polymarket named Official Prediction Market Partner of NHL\u2019s Rangers

Another step forward for prediction markets<\/a> with the announcement Polymarket has signed a deal with Madison Square Garden Sports Corp, naming the company the Official Prediction Market Partner of the NHL\u2019s New York Rangers.<\/p>\n

Hockey fans who attend games at Madison Square Garden will soon notice Polymarket featured all over the arena \u2013 including LED signage, on-ice contests, concourse activations and digitally-enhanced dasherboard signage during locally and nationally televised Rangers games.<\/p>\n

The Rangers have one of the most dedicated fanbases in sports, and this partnership introduces a new, dynamic layer of engagement to the fan experience,\u201d said Shayne Coplan, Founder and CEO of Polymarket.<\/p>\n

Polymarket Featured Heavily<\/p>\n

\u201cPrediction markets offer fans a real-time, interactive way to connect with the game, and the Rangers are an ideal franchise to bring this experience to a broader audience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, the Rangers are an Original Six NHL franchise. It hasn\u2019t been a banner year so far for the team on the ice \u2013 a record of 20-20, 14th in the Eastern Conference, well out of a playoff spot \u2013 but the power behind the brand, the legacy of the franchise, and the passion of the fanbase there is unlike any other.<\/p>\n

NHL Deal Last Fall<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a landmark partnership for the Rangers in this new and exciting category, and Polymarket is the perfect fit as one of the most reliable and forward-thinking prediction market operators,\u201d said Jamaal Lesane, Chief Operating Officer, MSG Sports.<\/p>\n

\u201cPolymarket becomes not just an Official Partner of the Rangers, but they will also be involved across digital channels, fan activations and promotions at Rangers games.\u201d<\/p>\n

Storied Franchise<\/p>\n

In October the NHL announced a landmark multiyear U.S. agreement<\/a> with Polymarket and Kalshi, naming both Official Prediction Market Partners of the NHL. Last November Polymarket was named the Official and Exclusive Prediction Market Partner of UFC and Zuffa Boxing.<\/p>\n

Kalshi has a similar deal with the Chicago Blackhawks.<\/p>\n
