The Colorado Avalanche continue to lead the league, with the Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, and Carolina Hurricanes keeping pace. Teams will want to add to their point totals before the Olympic break. Here are the Week 15 NHL Team Power Rankings

32. Vancouver Canucks

Vancouver is on a rough stretch. However, the team has fared better on the road. The Canucks rank 30th in goals allowed per game and 27th in goals scored per game.

31. Winnipeg Jets

This isn’t the start the Jets hoped for. The team is coming off a season-worst 11-game losing streak. Winnipeg’s goaltending woes have been the cause of its losses.

30. St. Louis BluesDec 27, 2025; St. Louis, Missouri, USA; St. Louis Blues left wing Pavel Buchnevich (89) celebrates with goaltender Joel Hofer (30) after the Blues defeated the Nashville Predators at Enterprise Center. Mandatory Credit: Jeff Curry-Imagn Images

St. Louis has played better recently, but the team has issues winning close games. The offense has been the league’s worst, ranking 32nd in goals scored per game. The Blues’ goaltenders haven’t fared better, ranking 29th in goals allowed per game.

29. Calgary Flames

If Calgary could play every game at home, they would rank higher. The team plays much better on home ice compared to on the road. This season, the Flames rank 13th in goals allowed per game and 31st in goals scored per game. Calgary’s woes are on the offensive side of the puck.

28. Columbus Blue Jackets

Columbus is the only NHL team with losing records at home and on the road. Goaltending is an issue as the team ranks 28th in goals allowed per game. Offensively, the team hasn’t been any better, ranking 22nd in goals scored per game.

27. Anaheim Ducks

Anaheim is amid its roughest ride of the season. The team is riding a 9-game losing streak. In this time frame, the team’s goaltenders have allowed over five goals per game.

26. Chicago Blackhawks

Chicago has played better over its last 10 games. Connor Bedard returned after a month out and has made an immediate impact. If Chicago can get its offense clicking, the team will start winning more games.

25. Ottawa SenatorsJan 10, 2026; Ottawa, Ontario, CAN; Ottawa Senators left wing Fabian Zetterlun (20) celebrates with center Shane Pinto defenseman Thomas Chabot (72) left wing David Perron (57) and right wing Claude Giroux (28) his goal scored in the first period against the Florida Panthers at the Canadian Tire Centre. Mandatory Credit: Marc DesRosiers-IMAGN Images

Ottawa has struggled over its last 10 games, and the team’s goaltending is the issue. The Senators rank 27th in goals allowed per game. Playing each game from behind puts extra pressure on the team’s offense.

24. Nashville Predators

Nashville has played better of late, and goaltender Juuse Saros is playing better. Nashville has issues on offense and defense, but better goaltending will help alleviate scoring issues. The Predators rank 25th in goals allowed per game and 26th in goals scored per game.

23. New Jersey Devils

New Jersey is struggling to score goals. The inability to score is costing the Devils many points. New Jersey ranks 20th in goals allowed per game and 30th in goals scored per game.

22. New York Rangers

Poor goaltending has led to New York’s recent struggles. The Rangers goaltenders have been a top ten group this season, but have found themselves amid a tough stretch of games. The team’s offense can’t score enough to give the goaltenders breathing room.

21. Seattle Kraken

Seattle’s played well over its last 10 games. The difference has been the team’s ability to win close games. On the season, the Kraken rank 9th in goals allowed per game and 25th in goals scored per game.

20. Los Angeles KingsApr 29, 2025; Los Angeles, California, USA; Los Angeles Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper (35) during the third period in game five of the first round of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs at Crypto.com Arena. The Kings’ biggest issue is their 28th–ranked offense. The offense has not given support to the team’s goaltenders, who rank 5th in goals allowed per game.

19. Utah Mammoth

Utah’s ranked 4th in the Central Division. If they weren’t in the league’s best division, they would be sitting near the top of any other division. If Utah’s offense can continue progressing, they will be a tough matchup throughout the season.

18. San Jose Sharks

The Sharks have increased production over the past two weeks. Much of their success falls on the shoulders of Macklin Celebrini, who ranks 2nd among the league’s points leaders. The team’s biggest issue is its 31st–ranked goaltending.

17. Florida Panthers

Florida is mediocre at this point in the season. The team ranks 24th in goals allowed per game and 18th in goals scored per game. As the Panthers’ goaltending improves, they will find themselves winning more games.

16. Edmonton Oilers

Edmonton is gaining traction in the Pacific Division. The team is winning, and its goaltending has been better. The team’s fate will come down to increased production from its goaltenders.

15. Pittsburgh PenguinsDec 21, 2025; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA; Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby (87) skates with the puck in a shootout against the Montréal Canadien at PPG Paints Arena. Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto has been one of the league’s hottest teams over the past two weeks. The team has received increased production from its goaltenders. If the Maple Leafs goaltenders continue to play well, the team will continue to move up the division standings.

13. Philadelphia Flyers

Philadelphia’s success is directly correlated to its goaltending. The team’s goaltending has been in the top ten throughout the season. However, the team needs improved offensive production.

12. Boston Bruins

Boston is winning and six points behind the division lead. David Pastrnak provides most of the team’s offense, and they need additional players to step up. The Bruins are trending in the right direction.

11. Buffalo Sabres

Buffalo has been the league’s hottest team over the past 10 games. The team’s offense is averaging better than three goals per game while holding opponents to two goals per game. The Sabres’ offense continues to improve on a weekly basis.

10. Washington CapitalsWashington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin (8) gestures to his son Sergei (not pictured) after the Capitals’ game against the St. Louis Blues, where he scored his 900th NHL goal at Capital One Arena.
