When pressed with a follow-up question about whether anyone from that group could get back on the ice anytime soon \u2014 say in the next week or two \u2014 the Rangers coach was non-committal, but didn\u2019t sound optimistic.<\/p>\n

Sullivan pulled Quick after he allowed six goals in that one, and journeyman backup Spencer Martin<\/a> surrendered the final four goals.<\/p>\n With Quick turning 40 this month, and Shesterkin\u2019s return not on the near horizon, Sullivan admitted that managing the veteran goalie\u2019s workload is a concern.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just another challenge,\u201d the coach explained. \u201cI\u2019ve talked with \u2018Quickie\u2019 about what our intentions are here going through this process. And he\u2019s really embraced the challenge in front of him. \u2026 We\u2019re going to feel this out, some of it\u2019s going to be intuition with what we see. We want to set Quickie up for success, and we don\u2019t want to give him a workload where it becomes diminishing returns and you get a lesser version of the player because of it. Miller<\/a> doesn\u2019t look 100 percent either after he recently returned from a seven-game injury absence.
