He also made a trip to Montreal the day before to get another look at Vancouver&#8217;s assets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ottawacitizen.com\/author\/bgarrioch\/\" style=\"background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700; text-decoration-line: none;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bruce Garrioch<\/a>\u00a0reported in the Ottawa Sun,\u00a0Staios is &#8220;actively working the phones,&#8221; looking for some outside pieces to improve his club.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In particular, Garrioch says, NHL executives around the league feel that the Senators are\u00a0scouring the market for a right-shot defenceman and a top-six forward.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Canucks, who are open for business and willing to trade just about anyone in the right deal, have a number of players who fit the bill for those Ottawa needs, per Garrioch.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Filip Hronek, RDConor Garland, FKiefer Sherwood, FJake DeBrusk, F<\/p>\n<p>The insider readily admits Hronek would be awfully tough to pry loose from Vancouver, and it would take a massive blockbuster offer that it simply could not refuse.<\/p>\n<p>Up front, all three of Garland, Sherwood and DeBrusk have been out there in trade rumors this season. And any of the three would be great additions for Ottawa, depending on the price.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Garrioch writes that Senators head coach\u00a0Travis Green is &#8220;a huge fan&#8221; of Garland.
