The Edmonton Oilers<\/a> shared a key roster update before their game against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The team announced that goaltender Tristan Jarry and defenseman Jake Walman were activated from long-term injured reserve. Forward Adam Henrique was placed on LTIR. Goaltender Connor Ingram moved from emergency recall to regular recall status.<\/p>\n

Jarry has been sidelined with a lower-body injury, which he suffered in a game against the Boston Bruins on Dec. 18. His removal from LTIR does not guarantee an immediate start. The Oilers did not send Ingram back to the minors, which suggests patience. Edmonton may ease Jarry back into action. Still, his return appears close.<\/p>\n

The update was posted on the team\u2019s official X account.<\/p>\n

Since joining Edmonton by trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a>, Jarry has shown solid results. The 30-year-old goalie posted a 3-0-0 record in his first three starts. His goals-against average sits at 3.08 during that span. While the numbers are not elite, he helped stabilize the crease briefly.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Connor Ingram continues to earn trust. He stopped 29 of 30 shots in Monday\u2019s 4-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. His only allowed goal came late in the third period. Ingram now owns a 4-2-1 record this season. He carries a 2.70 GAA and a .904 save percentage.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s starting to feel more normal every time I get out there,” Ingram said<\/a> following the win over the Blackhawks. “Luckily for me, I\u2019ve been able to play a lot, so you can find a rhythm and try and stick into it and hold on as long as you can. I thought I felt good today.”<\/p>\n

Ingram has won two of his last three starts. He has made 80 saves during that stretch. His play gives Edmonton options moving forward. Calvin Pickard is expected to handle the second half of the back-to-back.<\/p>\n

The Oilers sit second in the Pacific Division at 23-16-7. Offense drives their success, led by captain Connor McDavid<\/a> with 80 points. The power play continues to lead the league, and their goaltending is finally starting to help the team.<\/p>\n
