(AP Photo/Jay LaPrete) The Calgary Flames are fielding calls on key veterans; however, it seems that they are showing reluctance to move certain players as the NHL trade deadline is approaching. The Flames are currently at the third-last in the NHL with a 19-23-4 record, with seven points back of the San Jose Sharks for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference. Earlier reports suggest that trade rumors are swirling around Rasmus Andersson, Nazem Kadri, and Blake Coleman, and these veteran players are drawing multiple contenders over time. It is important to note that Kadri remains signed through the 2028-29 season at a cap hit of $7 million, while Coleman is under contract through next season at a cap hit of $4.9 million. These players are currently drawing much interest from contenders like the Colorado Avalanche. However, Calgary values his Stanley Cup experience and multi-team trade approval. On the other hand, Andersson, who is a pending UFA and 2026 Olympian, remains in active talks with several teams, with no signs of extension, and the Flames are also seeking maximum value without rushing.

Will Rasmus Andersson or Blake Coleman be traded in the upcoming major NHL trade?

The Calgary Flames are gearing up as clear sellers ahead of the trade deadline, with Rasmus Andersson, Nazem Kadri, and Blake Coleman all drawing interest from contenders. Meanwhile, trade rumours have swirled around Andersson dating back to last summer as the veteran defenceman approaches unrestricted free agency in July, and there’s a possibility that Andersson would be traded this time by the Flames. However, Flames appear content to hold on to Coleman and the veteran leadership he brings to the team. This was further analysed by NHL Insider and Analyst, Darren Dreger. He stated, “When you look at it from a Flames’ perspective, this isn’t a tear-down, full-on rebuild, but they do know that they need to get younger.”“And when you’re looking at Andersson, doesn’t it feel like his name’s been out there for a long time? A year, maybe even more than that? The interest in Andersson, the talented defenceman, has been consistent, and it’s going to continue to develop.

Rasmus Andersson Drops 🥊 Gloves 🥊 With Boone Jenner

Further speaking about Blake Coleman, Dreger stated, “I’m curious to see the name of Coleman out there – I know that teams are calling Conroy and asking about Coleman, it’s because of his winning resume.”He further said on Coleman’s abilities and the Flames won’t probably give away Coleman, “This guy’s won Stanley Cups, but it’s also the type of player he is and the type of man he is. But those are characteristics and attributes that the Flames need. You can’t trade everybody. You’ve got to have a backbone on the culture side of your team, and Coleman is definitely that, Dreger said.“So, I would downplay the speculation around Coleman. Anything is possible, but I would say his place on that trade list, in terms of how high he is, is a little misplaced at this point. It’s unlikely he gets dealt.” (source: TSN)Andersson, 29, has 10 goals and 29 points in 46 games this season while averaging a team-high 24:08 of ice time. Drafted 53rd overall by the Flames in 2015, Andersson has 57 goals and 260 points in 582 career games. He will represent Sweden at the Olympics next month after captaining the team to a bronze at the World Hockey Championship last spring.Meanwhile, Coleman is currently on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. He has 13 goals and 21 points in 44 games this season. Also read: NHL Injury Update: Minnesota Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin’s Olympic dream in jeopardy after sustaining major injury | NHL News – The Times of India

Columbus Blue Jackets’ Kent Johnson, left, chases Calgary Flames’ Yan Kuznetsov behind the net during the third period…

[5124
43759,895,26,43758,51556,5294,896,5,32806,4,548,21045,22558
0":"post-409511","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-calgary-flames","8":"tag-blake-coleman-trade","9":"tag-calgary","10":"tag-calgary-flames","11":"tag-calgary-flames-trade-rumors","12":"tag-calgary-flames-veterans","13":"tag-calgaryflames","14":"tag-flames","15":"tag-hockey","16":"tag-nazem-kadri-trade","17":"tag-nhl","18":"tag-nhl-trade-deadline","19":"tag-nhl-trade-update","20":"tag-rasmus-andersson-trade
["GET
