It keeps going from bad to worse for the Philadelphia Flyers<\/a>. Fresh off a 5-2 loss that also featured the departure of their starting goaltender<\/a>, the Flyers were back on the receiving end of another blowout on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

The Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> scored two goals in each period on the way to a 6-3 drubbing of the Flyers. It marked the fifth straight loss for the Flyers are fourth in regulation.<\/p>\n

The Penguins got a power play just 23 seconds into the game and turned it into a goal at 2:16. Justin Brazeau<\/a> finished off a tic-tac-toe passing play for his 13th goal of the season to make it 1-0.<\/p>\n

The Penguins added to the lead at 12:25. Bryan Rust<\/a> scored on the power play for his 17th goal of the season to make it a 2-0 game.<\/p>\n

Through 20 minutes, shots were 13-8 Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

Just 1:16 into the second, the Penguins made it 3-0 with a goal off the rush by Egor Chinakhov<\/a>. The Flyers scored just 61 seconds later with Rodrigo Abols<\/a> getting a deflection to make it 3-1.<\/p>\n

The Flyers made a goalie change at that point. Sam Ersson<\/a> exited after allowing three goals on 14 shots.<\/p>\n

The margin held at two goals until the final two minutes of the period. With 1:31 to play, the Penguins restored the three-goal lead with a goal by Blake Lizotte<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Through two periods, shots were 26-25 Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

The Penguins truly put the game away with two quick goals in the third. After Matvei Michkov<\/a> was in his first NHL fight, standing up for teammate Denver Barkey<\/a>, Sidney Crosby<\/a> scored on the power play for his 25th goal and 650th goal of his career. Just 1:17 after that, Connor Dewar<\/a> scored off a turnover to make it 6-1.<\/p>\n

The Flyers added two goals in the remainder of the third. Nick Seeler<\/a> scored his second goal of the season at 10:54. Michkov scored his 10th goal of the season at 17:25.<\/p>\n

Aleksei Kolosov<\/a> made 13 saves on 16 shots in the loss. Stuart Skinner<\/a> made 30 saves on 33 shots in the win.<\/p>\n

Barkey had two assists for the Flyers. Crosby, Evgeni Malkin<\/a>, and Tommy Novak<\/a> each had two points for Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

The Flyers return home on Saturday afternoon to take on the New York Rangers at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n
