Jason Robertson has already addressed being snubbed from the U.S. Olympic hockey team<\/a>. On Friday, his head coach shared some thoughts.<\/p>\n

Dallas Stars<\/a> coach Glen Gulutzan made his weekly appearance on The Hardline on Sportsradio 96.7 FM\/1310 The Ticket (KTCK-AM)<\/a> on Friday where he was asked about Robertson, currently the NHL\u2019s leading scorer among American-born players, being left off the Team USA hockey roster at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Robertson obviously had his ego bruised a bit<\/a>, especially after he was left off the 4-Nations Faceoff roster during last season, as well. But if you ask his head coach, he seemed to take it in stride.<\/p>\n

Gulutzan talked with The Hardline about Robertson\u2019s resilience and shared a story of the day the 26-year-old got the call from Team USA saying he hadn\u2019t made the cut.<\/p>\n

Question: Every hockey kid\u2019s dream growing up is to win the Stanley Cup and play for the Olympic team and Robo got left off, pretty controversially. Just wondering, from your perspective, how he\u2019s handled that?<\/p>\n

Guluztan: \u201cYou know, he\u2019s just such a good pro. The day I believe that the U.S. team called him to let him know he wasn\u2019t on it, I think it was a gameday. And you couldn\u2019t tell after morning skate \u2014 he did the exact same routine at morning skate, took the exact same shots, stayed out late, laughing with the boys after the shootout in the morning skate \u2014 he was exactly the same. <\/p>\n

\u201cFor me it\u2019s just a sign of a great pro. I couldn\u2019t tell one way or the other, I hadn\u2019t asked him because I didn\u2019t know if they\u2019d called him or not. But you could not tell, and they had called him. So. I think he\u2019s handled it like a great pro. He\u2019s shown a lot of maturity, shown a lot of class.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I think he should be on the team. I mean he\u2019s [the] leading scorer as an American-born player. That\u2019s just a tough one.\u201d<\/p>\n
