We have another personnel move to announce in goal within the Montreal Canadiens organization.<\/p>\n

Things moved quickly in the Canadiens’ goaltending file, and a domino effect has spread throughout the organizational chart.<\/p>\n

The Rocket have assigned goaltender Hunter Jones to the Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Lions, which represents the logical next step in the plan and confirms that Fowler is in Laval for good.<\/p>\n

“Goaltender Hunter Jones has been reassigned to the Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Lions.”<\/p>\n

When a young goalie arrives in Laval to play more often, space has to be freed elsewhere to avoid a logjam in net, and obviously to prevent another three-goalie situation, this time in Laval.<\/p>\n

Jacob Fowler forces the organization to make room<\/p>\n

The message is clear, and Kent Hughes has made his decision.<\/p>\n

The organization wants Jacob Fowler to get a heavy workload.<\/p>\n

Fowler’s demotion sparked discussion because he had performed well since being recalled to Montreal.<\/p>\n

But with Samuel Montembeault holding down the fort and another young goalie in the picture in Jakub Dobes, the Canadiens couldn’t keep everyone at the NHL level without slowing development.<\/p>\n

Sending Hunter Jones to Trois-Rivi\u00e8res also helps the Lions.<\/p>\n

It adds another goalie to the rotation and stabilizes a team that needs consistency night after night.<\/p>\n

In the end, it’s a small chain reaction that says a lot.<\/p>\n

The Canadiens want their goalies to play, period.<\/p>\n

And in this situation, Laval and Trois-Rivi\u00e8res become the places where you earn your spot, not just protect it.<\/p>\n

Everything is now falling back into place within the Montreal Canadiens organization.<\/p>\n
