A new report suggests that the Vancouver Canucks have spoken with a Pacific Division rival about a potential trade involving nine-time 20-goal scorer Evander Kane.<\/p>\n
“According to several sources, the Vancouver Canucks have let it be known that – in an effort to get younger – they are willing to listen to offers on ‘veteran players.'” Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman said.<\/p>\n

“While it’s still a rumor – something we don’t normally spend too much time on, but this was just too intriguing to not stop and give it pause for a few minutes – two separate sources over the past week have indicated to Mayor’s Manor that they believe Holland is kicking the tires on a potential Kane trade.” Mayor’s Manor said.<\/p>\n
With it being the final season of Anze Kopitar’s career in the National Hockey League, the Los Angeles Kings are almost certainly going to try and make a big splash at the trade deadline in March to go on a deep playoff run this spring.<\/p>\n
Now while Evander Kane might not be considered a “big splash” anymore, the 34-year-old winger would still provide Head Coach Jim Hiller some nice scoring depth and a physical presence that all teams need in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.<\/p>\n
