Buffalo Sabres<\/a> forward Josh Norris is out week-to-week while he\u2019s dealing with an upper-body injury, head coach Lindy Ruff<\/a> told reporters on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Norris, 26, left Wednesday\u2019s 5-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers<\/a> in the second period after recording just 8:55 of ice time with an assist.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-2 centre has already missed Thursday\u2019s victory over the Montreal Canadiens<\/a> and Saturday\u2019s overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild<\/a> and doesn\u2019t appear as though he\u2019ll play during the team\u2019s upcoming five-game road trip.<\/p>\n

Norris has had trouble staying in the lineup since he was acquired at the trade deadline from the Ottawa Senators<\/a> last season in a deal that saw forward Dylan Cozens<\/a> go the other way.<\/p>\n

The Oxford, Mich., native appeared in three games for the Sabres after the trade before having his 2024-25 campaign end with a torn oblique muscle.<\/p>\n

He recovered during the off-season but was then sidelined after sustaining an upper-body injury in the Sabres\u2019 season-opening loss to the New York Rangers<\/a> that saw him miss the next 23 games.<\/p>\n

Norris has six goals and 17 points in just 19 games this season.<\/p>\n
