Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a> head coach Craig Berube<\/a> said Monday he has no timeline for when winger William Nylander<\/a> will be back on the ice after aggravating a groin injury last week.<\/p>\n

Nylander last played against the Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> on Thursday, missing Saturday\u2019s win over the Winnipeg Jets<\/a> and already ruled out Monday against the Minnesota Wild<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how long the timeline will be for him … I\u2019m not sure when he\u2019s going to be on the ice,\u201d Berube said.<\/p>\n

Nylander, who has been named to Team Sweden for next month\u2019s Olympic tournament, has 17 goals and 48 points in 37 games this season.<\/p>\n

Knies a GTD on Monday<\/p>\n

Forward Matthew Knies<\/a> was absent from the team\u2019s morning skate prior Monday and will be a game-time decision against the Wild. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s obviously bothering him a lot for quite some time, and hasn\u2019t gotten really much better, other than when he gets some breaks, Christmas time and stuff,\u201d Berube explained of what is plaguing Knies. \u201cHe comes back, it feels better. It\u2019s an ongoing issue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Knies, 23, skated 18:58 during the team\u2019s 4-3 overtime win over the Winnipeg Jets<\/a> on Saturday, recording a shot with two penalty minutes and a minus-2 rating.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-3 winger has 12 goals and 40 points in 45 games this season.<\/p>\n

Joseph Woll<\/a> is projected to get the start in net against the Wild.<\/p>\n

Woll, 27, has won three of his last four games and has an 11-4-3 record this season with a .914 save percentage and 2.73 goals-against average.<\/p>\n

With Nylander out and Knies\u2019 status unclear Monday, the Maple Leafs recalled forward Jacob Quillan<\/a> from the AHL\u2019s Toronto Marlies.<\/p>\n

Quillan, 23, appeared in three games with the Maple Leafs earlier this season without recording a point and with a plus-2 rating.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-1 centre has eight goals and 27 points in 28 games in the AHL this season.<\/p>\n

Toronto could jump back into the playoff picture with a win on Monday, the team is currently one point back of the Buffalo Sabres<\/a> for the final wild-card spot with one more game played. <\/p>\n
