{"id":420305,"date":"2026-01-21T19:41:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T19:41:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/420305\/"},"modified":"2026-01-21T19:41:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T19:41:11","slug":"boston-bruins-sign-alex-steeves-to-two-year-extension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/420305\/","title":{"rendered":"Boston Bruins sign Alex Steeves to two-year extension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Boston Bruns announced the signing of forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/alex-steeves\/8482634\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/alex-steeves\/8482634\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Steeves<\/a> to a two-year, $3.25 million contract. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The deal carries an AAV of $1.625 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 26-year-old centre has eight goals and 14 points in 33 games this season, his first with the Bruins. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Steeves was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/toronto-maple-leafs\/10\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/toronto-maple-leafs\/10\" target=\"_blank\">Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a> in 2021 and has recorded nine goals and 17 points in 47 NHL games with the Leafs and Bruins over parts of five NHL seasons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with Boston this past offseason and was set to become an unrestricted free agent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Boston Bruns announced the signing of forward Alex Steeves to a two-year, $3.25 million contract.
