File this under \u201cNo Kidding!\u201d \u2014 but Pierre LeBrun confirmed Tuesday night that J.T. Miller<\/a> isn\u2019t going anywhere during the New York Rangers latest retooling of the roster.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I was told today is that Miller has no intention of waiving his no-move clause, and the Rangers have no intention of going to him and asking to waive it,\u201d LeBrun said on TSN\u2019s Insider Trading<\/a>. \u201cThey traded for him last year, they made him captain, and they still believe in the reasons why they made that move. Miller should not be part of whatever exodus of players leaves New York.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019d been previously reported that Rangers general manager Chris Drury met with each of the players who have no-move clauses to find out if they wished to remain in New York or were open to being traded. By all accounts, Miller, Mika Zibanejad, Igor Shesterkin, Vladislav Gavrikov, and Adam Fox all stated their desire to stay with the Rangers.<\/p>\n

Vincent Trocheck and Carson Soucy have limited no-trade clauses, and Will Borgen has a full no-trade. It\u2019s unknown if any of those three met with Drury.<\/p>\n

Of course, the GM also informed pending UFA forward Artemi Panarin<\/a> that the Rangers won\u2019t offer<\/a> him a contract extension and will work with Panarin\u2019s representatives on a trade moving forward, since the Breadman has a complete no-move clause.<\/p>\n

In 10 days, it\u2019ll be the first anniversary of when the Rangers re-acquired Miller<\/a> in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks. It\u2019s been a tough first full season back with the Blueshirts for the 32-year-old center, who was named the 29th captain in franchise history<\/a> during training camp.<\/p>\n

Miller\u2019s turned it on since Drury\u2019s public letter<\/a> announcing a retool last week, recording three consecutive two-point games, including a pair of goals in a 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Yet \u201chis name is already out there [in trade rumors], and I\u2019m not quite sure why,\u201d LeBrun stated.<\/p>\n
