BOSTON \u2014 A week after the Bruins<\/a>\u2019 possible trade<\/a> for Rasmus Andersson<\/a> didn\u2019t reach the finish line, Boston didn\u2019t have to face him.<\/p>\n

Multiple reports said the Bruins and Calgary Flames were close enough to a trade for the versatile defenseman that Boston and Andersson\u2019s representatives were allowed to discuss a contract extension.<\/p>\n

But when those talks didn\u2019t produce an agreement, Boston pulled out and Calgary dealt Andersson to Las Vegas<\/a> with no extension.<\/p>\n

The Golden Knights are in Boston for a Thursday matchup, but Andersson won\u2019t be in the lineup.<\/p>\n

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, <\/a>Andersson needs a visa to be able to live and work in the United States which can take several days.<\/p>\n
