[<a href=\"https:\/\/montreal.nationalhockeynow.com\/2023\/02\/27\/montreal-canadiens-monahan-could-still-be-traded-despite-lingering-injury\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sean Monahan<\/a>]<br \/>\nWith many buyers striking out on Timo Meier, the Canadiens could be in a strong position leading up to the NHL Trade Deadline.. The first sent Laval Rocket forward Nate Schnarr to the Los Angeles Kings for defenceman Frederic Allard. Montreal facilitated a trade by acting as salary cap brokers between the San Jose Sharks and the PIttsburgh Penguins in the Nick Bonino deal. They also acquired prospect Adam Engstrom\u2019s defensive partner, 27-year-old Tony Sund.
