The New York Rangers have been discussing multiple trades the past few weeks and one Ranger who is drawing the most trade interest is two-way center, Vincent Trocheck<\/p>\n

Trocheck, 32, is one of the few Rangers’ trade candidates who doesn’t have a full no-movement clause. He holds a 12-team no-trade list so there’s certainly some say in the matter, but GM Chris Drury has some options if he wants to pull the trigger.<\/p>\n

Trocheck’s appeared in 38 games this season, scoring 11 times and adding 21 points, for 32 points. He’s averaging 20:57 of ice-time per game and plays in all situations, and is one of the best two-way centers in the game. He’s signed through the 2029 season at $5.6 million AAV, and there’s no doubt Drury would land a significant package if he winds up moving Trocheck.<\/p>\n

As far as trade destinations go, there’s plenty of interest around the league so a bidding war could ensue. The Carolina Hurricanes and Colorado Avalanche appear to be the heavy favorites at this point, but don’t count out Bill Guerin and the Minnesota Wild. They’d love to land Trocheck to round out their roster for a serious Cup run.<\/p>\n

Another team in the mix – the Anaheim Ducks. They love ex-Rangers and have trade history with New York, and with them exceeding expectations this season, look for GM Pat Verbeek to be aggressive ahead of the Olympic roster freeze.<\/p>\n

Trocheck appears to be the best Rangers trade candidate of them all, so if Drury was smart and wanted to re-tool on the fly, he may want to consider moving his most complete player.<\/p>\n
