The Bruins didn\u2019t arrive back in Boston until 1:30 p.m. ET, which gave the team less than six hours to get ready for the game.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t an easy game to get ready for, and Bruins forward Morgan Geekie said he\u2019s happy with how the team responded to the adversity.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u201dIt\u2019s huge,\u201d Geekie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/bruins\/video\/locker-room-raw-geekie-zacha-pastrnak-h-lindholm-6388414328112\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> on Tuesday, as seen on NESN\u2019s postgame coverage. \u201cEspecially when you\u2019re kind of faced with adversity a little bit like that, it\u2019s easy to throw in the towel and make some excuses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I think it just speaks to the character of the group that we know nothing is going to come easy, and we\u2019re ready to battle through adversity whenever that may be. These are the games we\u2019ll talk about when our careers and stuff are done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"nesn-in-content-ad__copy\">Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Bruins head coach Marco Sturm was also pleased with how his team played to grind out a 3-2 overtime win.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u201dI was actually very happy,\u201d Sturm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/bruins\/video\/press-room-marco-sturm-6388413162112\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a>. \u201cNobody was complaining. We just did the best possible, right? It was a little bit out of our control, so we just had to grind it out a little bit. Our staff, everyone around, helped us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Bruins were led by David Pastrnak, who had a goal and an assist \u2013 including netting the OT winner \u2013 while Geekie and Hampus Lindholm also scored.<\/p>\n<p class=\"nesn-in-content-ad__copy\">Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Boston will return to the ice on Thursday at home against the Philadelphia Flyers.
