A trusted National Hockey League insider has revealed when Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin & President of Hockey Operations Jim Rutherford will make their next trade.<\/p>\n

The Vancouver Canucks have some big plans for the trade deadline this year after informing teams around the National Hockey League that they’re “open for business” and are willing to listen to offers on anyone on their roster.<\/p>\n

“We may end up saying no to offers, certainly, but we’re not going to say no to having conversations about any player. This is about improving this team without taking shortcuts.” Jim Rutherford said.<\/p>\n

NHL insider reveals when Vancouver Canucks may complete their next trade<\/p>\n

While making an appearance on Sekeres and Price on Monday, National Hockey League insider Darren Dreger said that he’s hearing from sources that the Vancouver Canucks will make another trade – either a big deal or smaller one – prior to the Olympic roster freeze going into effect at 12 p.m. PT on February 4th.<\/p>\n

“The Canucks, they always have something going on; I asked a good source…do you anticipate getting something bigger, smaller done between now and the Feb 4th roster freeze; the message I got back was yeah, there’s a decent chance of that.” Dreger said.<\/p>\n

The Vancouver Canucks have a lot on the go at the moment and a number of their players have been in the rumor mill recently, including Evander Kane and with the club giving his agent permission to facilitate a move, perhaps it’s him who we could see moved before the Olympic roster freeze.<\/p>\n

Beyond Evander Kane, other members of the Vancouver Canucks that are drawing interest on the trade market are Jake DeBrusk, Elias Pettersson, Drew O’Connor and Teddy Blueger, with David Kampf and Lukas Reichel also rumored to be on the move in the weeks ahead.<\/p>\n

Over the next few days, it’s going to be interesting to see if the Vancouver Canucks will scratch any of their players drawing interest for “roster related reasons” as we’ve seen the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils do with Artemi Panarin and Ondrej Palat, respectively, with the latter being dealt to the New York Islanders earlier this week.<\/p>\n
