The defending champion Florida Panthers<\/a> are up 1-0 in the Eastern Conference finals<\/a> because they did something against the Carolina Hurricanes<\/a> that no other team had done in this year’s playoffs.<\/p>\n

Hurricanes goalie Frederik Andersen gave up five goals and Carolina yielded two power-play goals in the same game for the first time in the 2025 postseason.<\/p>\n
