WILLISTON, N.D. \u2014 The Jamestown High School girls hockey team took Williston to overtime on Saturday. <\/p>\n

The Coyotes escaped with a win. <\/p>\n

Jamestown dropped 2-1 to the Coyotes via a shootout on Jan. 31. The loss puts the Blue Jays at 4-11-1. Head coach Andy Fitzgerald and the girls will be back on the ice on Feb. 5 hosting West Fargo. The puck is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m. <\/p>\n

Williston struck first in the showdown with a goal by Abby TeSoro in the second period. Grace Allmaras evened things up at one with a score at the 5:12 mark of the third period. <\/p>\n

TeSoro finished off the game with a goal in the shootout round. <\/p>\n

Ryker Stoddart keeps winning. <\/p>\n

The Jamestown High School sophomore wrestler picked up his third win in three days on Saturday. Stoddart defeated Minot United’s Vincent Martinez by way of a 17-2 tech fall to pick up all five of the Blue Jays’ points in the conference dual. The Blue Jays wound up falling 71-5 to Minot to complete the team’s conference season. <\/p>\n

Jamestown’s next action \u2014 the 2026 West Region Tournament \u2014 is slated for Feb. 7. Duals are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Mandan High School. <\/p>\n
