He needs a little bit more time to heal & to get stronger but we’re happy with the progression.”

As for Kerfoot, while there has yet to be an established timeline for his return, skating lines during today’s practice only adds further evidence that he is also nearing a return to play.

Notably, after the Mammoth reassigned Dmitri Simashev to Tucson on Friday, the team has yet to fill the final roster spot with only two healthy scratches.

That’s a pretty good indicator that both of these players are close.

What’s next for the Utah Mammoth?

The Utah Mammoth will continue their three-game home stand against the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. MT.

The game will be available on Mammoth+.

All Mammoth games will also be broadcast live on the KSL Sports Zone (97.5 FM/1280 AM).

Cole Bagley is the Utah Mammoth insider for KSL Sports. Keep up with him on X here. You can hear Cole break down the team on KSL Sports Zone and KSL 5 TV.
Take us with you, wherever you go.

Download the new & improved KSL Sports app from Utah’s sports leader.
