The win ended a three-game (0-2-1) skid for the Red Wings and was Detroit\u2019s first victory at Colorado in nearly a decade. On February 27, 2016, the Red Wings downed the Avalanche 5-3, playing outdoors at Coors Field in the NHL Stadium Series.<\/p>\n

The last win by the Red Wings at Ball Arena was also the last time Detroit posted a shutout victory over the Avalanche. On February 15, 2015, Petr Mrazek made 28 saves as the Red Wings blanked the Avs 3-0.<\/p>\n

Monday, John Gibson<\/a> turned aside 21 shots for his third shutout of the season and 27th of his NHL career.<\/p>\n

Lucas Raymond<\/a> scored his 19th goal of the year into an empty Colorado net to seal the victory. Raymond finished the night with a goal and an assist. Captain Dylan Larkin<\/a> assisted on both Detroit goals.<\/p>\n
