Wins have eluded the Philadelphia Flyers<\/a> in general, but especially on home ice. It had been since Jan. 6 that the Flyers had won at Xfinity Mobile Arena.<\/p>\n

That changed with a late power-play goal. Jamie Drysdale<\/a>‘s fourth of the season with 5:23 to play proved to be the game-winner in a 4-2 win for the Flyers over the Washington Capitals<\/a> on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

After killing an early penalty, the Flyers got on the board first. At 5:56, Owen Tippett<\/a> finished off a nice passing play in the offensive zone for his 19th of the season.<\/p>\n

Through 20 minutes, shots were 11-7 Washington.<\/p>\n

The Flyers opened up a 2-0 lead at 4:45 of the second. Carl Grundstrom<\/a> got a bounce off the skate of Jakob Chychrun<\/a> for his eighth goal of the season.<\/p>\n

The Capitals got back into the game with a shorthanded goal at 8:12. A shot that missed the net rolled around the boards and out of the zone, leading to a two-on-one for the Capitals. Anthony Beauvillier<\/a> set up Aliaksei Protas<\/a> for his 19th of the season to cut the lead to one.<\/p>\n

Through two periods, shots were 18-13 Washington.<\/p>\n

The Capitals tied the game at 2:40 of the third. Beauvillier picked up a rebound for his 12th of the season to make it 2-2.<\/p>\n

The Flyers got a power play with 5:47 to play and took advantage. Drysdale scored his fourth goal of the season with 5:23 to go to make it 3-2.<\/p>\n

Rasmus Ristolainen<\/a> scored into an empty net with less than 20 seconds to play to seal the victory.<\/p>\n

Dan Vladar<\/a> made 26 saves on 28 shots in the win. Clay Stevenson<\/a> made 18 saves on 21 shots in the loss.<\/p>\n

Ristolainen and Travis Konecny<\/a> had two points each for the Flyers. Beauvillier had two points for the Capitals.<\/p>\n

The Flyers have one more game before the Olympic break on Thursday night against the Ottawa Senators at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
