The St. Louis Blues<\/a> have traded forward Nick Bjugstad<\/a> to the New Jersey Devils<\/a> in exchange for forward Thomas Bordeleau<\/a> and a conditional 2026 fourth-round draft pick back to St. Louis in the deal. <\/p>\n

The trade came in just ahead of the NHL\u2019s Olympic roster freeze. The pick involved will be the last of three fourth-rounders the Devils have possession of. <\/p>\n

Bjugstad has six goals and one assist in 35 games with the Blues this season. The 33-year-old is signed through next season at a cap hit of $1.75 million after joining the Blues on a two-year deal in the summer.<\/p>\n

Bjugstad had eight goals and 19 points in 66 games with the Utah Hockey Club<\/a> last season. <\/p>\n

Drafted 19th\u202foverall by the Florida Panthers<\/a> in 2010, Bjugstad has 163 goals and 337 points in 795 career games split between the Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a>, Minnesota Wild<\/a>, Arizona Coyotes, Edmonton Oilers<\/a>, Mammoth and Blues. <\/p>\n

Trading Bjugstad could be the first of several moves by the Blues ahead of the trade deadline. TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reported Tuesday that the team is willing to listen on forwards Robert Thomas<\/a>, Jordan Kyrou<\/a> and Brayden Schenn<\/a>, along with defencemen Colton Parayko<\/a> and Justin Faulk<\/a> and goaltender Jordan Binnington<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Bordeleau, 24, was a second-round pick of the San Jose Sharks<\/a> in 2020. He has two goals and eight points in 35 games with the AHL\u2019s Utica Comets this season. In 44 NHL games with the Sharks from 2021-2025, Bordeleau has six goals and 18 points.<\/p>\n
