He infamously scored the Golden Goal over the United States in overtime at the 2010 Games in Vancouver to deliver Canada the gold medal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cI am grateful for the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, and it is an honour to be named captain of Canada\u2019s men\u2019s hockey team, which has so many great players and leaders,\u201d Crosby said in a statement. \u201cConnor and Cale, along with our entire group, provide incredible leadership, and I am happy to represent Canada together on the same team.
