Another week has passed, and it\u2019s time for another LA Kings<\/a>\u2018 weekly prospect update<\/a>. This week\u2019s update was highlighted by forward Koehn Ziemmer<\/a>, who registered a hat trick in his only game played in the week with the Ontario Reign (AHL).<\/p>\n

Although the Reign had three games scheduled during the week, Ziemmer only suited up for one, and it was a memorable one. In his lone game of action, Ziemmer recorded a natural hat trick and five shots on goal in the Reign\u2019s 4-3 victory over the Bakersfield Condors on home ice<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been an unusual season for Ziemmer as he is transitioning from junior to professional hockey. He hasn\u2019t played every day, isn\u2019t playing top-six minutes, or being used on the power play like he was in juniors, but has put in a lot of work with his character, work ethic, and care as a first-year pro, according to his Head Coach, Andrew Lord, after the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou saw the shots tonight, but his play away from the puck has dramatically improved here over the season. I think that\u2019s a testament to the effort he puts in. Whenever you have a great guy like that with his character, work ethic, and care, you want to see him get rewarded,\u201d said Lord.<\/p>\n
