\u2014 Cole Bagley (@BagleyKSLsports) February 9, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n Utah Mammoth Ice Center to open in late February with various programming<\/p>\n Now known as the Utah Mammoth Ice Center, the facility will host a collection of skating and hockey programs, offer ice time to local teams and leagues, and supply space for recreational skating, meetings and gatherings.<\/p>\n \u201cThis facility was built to be a resource for the community as much as it is for our team,\u201d Chris Barney, president of revenue and commercial strategy at SEG said. \u201cIn addition to bringing two new NHL-standard regulation ice rinks into Utah\u2019s hockey landscape, this is a place where fans can engage with the team and the community can learn the game of hockey, grow their skills, and form connections that extend beyond the rink.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is an investment in the future of hockey in Utah, and we\u2019re extremely excited to give the next generation a place to fall in love with the game.\u201d<\/p>\n The following is a list of programming that will be available to the public beginning February 23:<\/p>\n Recreational Skating: Available Friday through Sunday, community members can access the facility for public open skate sessions for just $12.<\/p>\n On-site skate and skate-assist rentals will be available for purchase inside the building lobby.<\/p>\n Introductory Skating: Learn to Skate<\/a>, which will begin March 16 and take place Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, is a 7-week instructional program designed to introduce participants of all ages to the fundamentals of skating, including balance, stopping, forward and backward skating, turns, and more.<\/p>\n The facility will also offer freestyle sessions and stick and puck ice time, providing additional opportunities for independent practice, creativity, and skill development outside of structured classes.<\/p>\n Youth Hockey Development Pathway: From Learn to Play<\/a> and Continue to Play<\/a> programs to Rookie Leagues, skill clinics, and seasonal camps, the facility will offer a variety of structured progression programs to help young athletes advance their hockey skills.<\/p>\n Girls- and women-only options are available across multiple offerings.<\/p>\n As part of the NHL and NHLPA development initiatives, these programs help welcome families into the sport and inspire the next generation of hockey players.<\/p>\n Adult Hockey: Adult players can join the Utah Mammoth recreational league, which includes a 16-week season with structured weekly games and dedicated divisions.<\/p>\n Teams will play nightly Sunday through Thursday, providing players 18+ with the environment to grow their game. Players interested in participating can register individually, find a team, or sign up an existing team for league play here<\/a><\/p>\n Additional off-ice programming at Utah Mammoth Ice Center<\/p>\n In addition to the on-ice programming, the Utah Mammoth Ice Center will also provide additional programming.<\/p>\n The following is a list of off-ice activities available to the public:<\/p>\n Attend a Utah Mammoth Practice: Up to 300 fans will have the opportunity to attend select Mammoth practices beginning Feb. 21, with space available by reservation, which opens here<\/a> 24 hours before each practice, on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n All attendees must sign a waiver to reserve a spot.<\/p>\n On-Site Skate Rentals and Public Locker Rooms: Convenient on-site skate rentals and access to public locker rooms will be available for all skating sessions and introductory programs, ensuring easy access for first-time skaters or casual participants.<\/p>\n Skate rentals will be available for $3 per session, and skate-assist rentals will be available for $5.<\/p>\n Food & Beverage Options Available at \u2018Tusky\u2019s Cooler\u2019: A full rotating menu of concessions will be offered during community skating events, providing quick, family-friendly food and beverage options for guests.<\/p>\n The concessions space will feature a selection of snacks, drinks, and light meal items, including, but not limited to, premium sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, pretzel bites, breakfast offerings, coffee and hot chocolate, fountain soda, and more.<\/p>\n Flexible Community Spaces: Additional multi-use areas within the facility will be available to rent, including for private events, team gatherings, birthday parties, and other community events.<\/p>\n More details on the Feb. 20 \u2013 Feb. 22 opening celebration will be available in the coming days.<\/p>\n What\u2019s\u00a0next for the Utah Mammoth?\u00a0<\/p>\n The Utah Mammoth will\u00a0now enter the Olympic break before returning to play on February 25 against the Colorado Avalanche\u00a0at 7:00 p.m. MT.\u00a0<\/p>\n The game will be available on Mammoth+.\u00a0<\/p>\n All Mammoth games will also be broadcast live on the KSL Sports Zone (97.5 FM\/1280 AM).\u00a0<\/p>\n Cole Bagley is the Utah Mammoth insider for KSL Sports.\u00a0Keep up with him on X here<\/a>.\u00a0You can hear Cole break down the team on KSL Sports Zone and KSL 5 TV.\u00a0<\/p>\n Take us with\u00a0you,\u00a0wherever you go.\u00a0<\/p>\n
