SALT LAKE CITY \u2013 The Utah Hockey Club closed out its three-game homestand with a gut-punch of a loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night.<\/p>\n

Utah came into the matchup with three wins in four games as well as a three-game win streak at Delta Center. Each and every win has been a necessity as the club sits a few spots down from the Western Conference Wild Card.<\/p>\n

The Hockey Club struck first with Detroit in town. Clayton Keller and Dylan Guenther connected in the opening minutes to make it 1-0. The Red Wings went on to score one unanswered in the second period and then three more in the third.<\/p>\n

Utah will now embark on a three-game road trip with stops in Tampa Bay, Florida, and Chicago.<\/p>\n
